Theatrical lighting is at the heart of everything we do. The theatrical lighting designer uses light to create an environmental atmosphere that supports the show’s “production concept” through
-
•illumination
-
•color
-
•molding/sculpting.
As with any creative art, lighting design is equal parts inspiration and craft.
The lighting designer’s ability to “see” is crucial to both elements. By this we mean the ability to view the world with an understanding of how light shapes people and objects as well as how it effects us psychologically.
These goals and this methodology apply directly to any project and we use them to shape what the “audience” sees.
